Everyone should have received a letter in the mail regarding the upcoming eboard nominations. Please submit all nominations to the email local3778nominations@gmail.com no later than 5 pm Wednesday, July 22. The nominations are for the following positions:

1st Vice President
2nd Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
2 Executive board members
A message from the vice president:
The first six months of this year have been extraordinary, giving rise to extraordinary responses. With all the negative we have also seen the best of humankind, giving us hope. It is with this thought in mind that I write this letter to the members of our local.
All of our members should have received a letter in the mail regarding nominations for the executive board. The formation of the local was a hard fight and we needed separation from Local 375. With the formation of Local 3778, we now have a seat at the table, not just representation as a chapter. WE HAVE A VOICE: WE MAY BE SMALL BUT WE ARE MIGHTY. That means as a member of the local’s executive board, we are directly negotiating with the labor board and legal department both at 1PP and DC37. I cannot stress enough the importance of these positions. We will not only be in talks with management but also be negotiating salaries, working conditions, titles and so on not with other chapters but as an independent local.
As current times have shown us, it is not someone else’s job. It is all of us. I encourage all of you to consider the positions, nominate yourself or someone who you think would be good at it.
Please feel free to discuss with any of the current board members what the positions entail. The position definitions are also listed in our constitution.
Our Local is only as strong as its members.
