I wanted to provide the link I’ve been using to get COVID-19 Express Testing:

https://www1.nyc.gov/site/doh/covid/covid-19-rapid-testing.page

If you experience any error using Internet Explorer, please try a different browser, like Chrome.

This is for PCR testing (NOT “rapid” testing) available by appointment only and results are provided in less than 24 hours.

There are multiple testing locations as follows:

  • Bronx
    Morrisania – 1309 Fulton Avenue
  • Brooklyn
Crown Heights – 1218 Prospect Place
Fort Greene – 295 Flatbush Avenue Extension
  • Manhattan
Central Harlem – 2238 Fifth Avenue
    Chelsea – 303 Ninth Avenue
    Riverside – 160 West 100th Street
Washington Heights – 600 West 168th Street, Third Floor
  • Queens
    Corona – 34-33 Junction Boulevard
    Jamaica – 90-37 Parsons Boulevard

If you work at the Police Lab, there is a testing location that’s a 5 minute walk from the Laboratory (next to the McDonald’s on Jamaica ave)! It is located in Department of Health and Mental Hygiene 90-37 Parsons Blvd, Jamaica, NY 11432

I have personally gotten results as quickly as 90 minutes. The testing equipment is on the premises, which allows them to produce results quickly.

Please note: Appointments are released every night at midnight, over the course of 20 minutes or so, location by location. I have been successful finding many appointment options either at midnight, or early in the morning around 7:00am. The appointments are released two days in advance of the testing date, so if you want to be tested on Wednesday, schedule your appointment on Monday, for example. Please keep in mind that some locations are closed on Saturday and/or Sunday, so you may be unable to find an appointment for those days.

It is not required, but I recommend setting up your MyChart account in advance to expedite the process: https://epicmychart.nychhc.org

You will receive an email when your test results become available.

For those interested in my experience being tested at this location, I scheduled an appointment for 4:20pm, I arrived at 4:06pm, and was swabbed and totally done at 4:23pm, though your experience may vary depending on how many people are waiting before you. You will be required to show your appointment confirmation email to the security guard before you are allowed to enter the building, and you will be directed from there.

If anyone has any additional questions about being tested at this location, or generally, I will gladly share my personal experiences. Please don’t hesitate to reach out.
